The Big Burner

After two night of hiking the trails aroun Mt. Rainier capturing the meteor shower, I had given up on getting just one big meteor. It was 3:30am and I had my sons with me. We headed back to the car. I decided to set up the camera for one last set to stack as a star trail. The intervelometer set, I stood marveling at the mountain and relishing the peace, when this big burner went flying through the sky. I was jumping up and down like a mad woman. I had to wait for my camera to finish the set of 40- 20 second shots before I could look to see if I got it. The longest 15 minutes ever! I was pleasantly delighted with htis image.

Tranquility Under the Stars

The Sunrise side of Mt Rainier will always have a special place in my heart. Every time I go there, things in my life start going right. The trails are always beautiful, even at night, as shown here.
